Adult and children enjoy desserts, especially those have an attractive looks and sweet taste. Hong Kong has many famous delicious desserts, such as Coconut Sago Sweet Soup, Egg Tarts, Egg White Tarts, Coconut Tarts, Sesame Glutinous Rice Dumplings, Baked Sago Pudding, Almond Sweet Tea, Black sesame Sweet Tea, Walnut Sweet Tea, Thousand Layer Cake, and Pan-fried Red Bean Pancakes, etc...  Some of these are originated from Mainland China or The Great Britian, some of these are new. But they all do have Hong Kong Style, which is east meets west with new ideas in them.
People won't be able to resist after just one look. They sure satisfy every one's sweet tooth. With creative ideas and simple ingredients, these desserts are not difficult to make.

Double-boiled Fish Maw with Sweet Milk 鮮奶燉花膠. Fish maws takes a couple of days to do the precook process. The fishy smell is gone and the fish maw changes to soft and smoothy texture.  It is great to cook with milk and served as dessert. Chinese believes it provides lots of collegen and good for skin, particularly in winter time.

Ginger Milk Custard 薑汁撞奶. Although this dessert requires skills and practice, it is worth to spend time to do it. Once students got the skill, it becomes a very easy to make dessert. This dessert doesn't contain any geletine or agar agar, only made by mixing ginger juice, sugar and exactly right temperature of milk together.

Sweet Pan Cakes 花生椰絲甜薄餅. Pan cakes are full of roasted peanuts, coconut and sesame seeds. So Yum!

Mango Sago Grapefruit Coconut Sweet Tea 楊枝金露. An elegance version of "Yeung Gi Gam Lou". It is made with ripe mango, juicy grapefruit, exotic coconut milk and adorable Sago.

Purple Glutinous Rice Balls with Red Bean Paste 紅豆紫薯湯九. It is a little bit different to traditional plain glutinous rice balls in sweet ginger tea. The mashed purple sweet potato is mxed with the glutinous rice flour dough, and then wrap red bean paste inside. More texture and more color, absolutely good for Chinese New Year.

Coconut Sago Sweet Soup 椰汁西米奶露. It is full of South East Asia ideas. It can be served either hot or cold.

Baked Egg Tart 蛋撻. It is a very local and famous dessert in Hong Kong. Can be served anytime and can be found in every bakery shop, too. People like to eat it during breakfast or tea time with a cup of coffee or tea, may be a cup of yin yang (half cup of coffee and half cup of tea).

Double Boiled Egg with Milk and Rock Sugar 冰花燉蛋. The surface of the egg should not have any bubbles, it should be very silky and smooth , just like a perfect skin. A dessert can keep your skin looks younger as Chinese believe. Believe it or not!

Black Sesame Sweet Soup 手磨芝麻糊. In according to the effectiveness of Chinese medicine. Black sesame can help to keep and enrich the black color of Chinese hair. Black sesame can also help to solve the constipation problem. It is one of famous Chinese dessert, which believe is good for health.

Double Boiled Ya Pear with Fresh lily Bulb 鮮百合燉雪梨. Ya Pear and lily bulb can soothe sore throat and good for respiratory system in Chinese point of view. It is good for everyone, particularly during autumn season.

Chuan Bei Almond Egg White Tea 川貝杏仁蛋白茶. Chuan Bei is Chinese medicine which clears Heat, moistens the Lungs, expels phlegm and eases coughting.So as Sweet Almond. This is a Yin nourishing dessert which can also good for skin, too. It takes time to sieve the blended sweet almond and Chuan Bei into white smoothe juice, like milk. But the more the chef sieves, the better it tastes.

White Fungus, Red Dates and dried Long-gan Sweet Tea 雪耳紅棗龍眼糖水. Red dates and dried Long-gan nourish the Spleen, strengthen Qi and promote blood cell formation in Chinese point of view. This dessert is good for people who feel tired but cannot have a good night sleep all the time.

Stuffed Kabocha with Sweet Glutinous Rice and Red Bean Paste in Coconut Milk 椰香金瓜藏紅梅白雪脂. I created this dessert for those who like to eat more fiber, like pumpkin and red bean, but also like to satisfy their sweet tooth. Since the red bean paste and coconut juice are already have a lot of sugar in it. The kobacha and glutinous rice is a good balance to their sweeterness.

Egg White Sweet Almond Tea 手磨蛋白龍皇杏仁茶. Traditional almond tea with egg white not just taste good, but also good for Lungs and skin. The almond fragrance and soft egg white are the selling points.

Strawberry Coconut Sago Sweet Soup 紅粉椰香西米凍露. I created this because I like Strawberry Daiquiri and Pina Colada. One day, I was planning to cook a coconut sago sweet soup, my mind could not stop thinking about strawberry daiquiri since I'd just bought a box of huge beautiful strawberry from farmer's market, so I ended up cooking a strawberry coconut sago dessert. Surprised! It looked so charming. It tasted so good especially served it cold.

Sang Ji Sheng Egg Tea 補氣血桑寄生蛋茶. Sang Ji Sheng expels Wind-Dampess, menoxenia, dizziness and lower back pain according to Chinese medication. At old local dessert shops, they still serve this dessert. It becomes difficult to find this dessert in Hong Kong since this dessert is a little bit bitter in taste. It is well known for its medication more than its taste.

Sesame Sweet Soup with Purple Glutinous Rice Balls 黑芝麻紫薯湯丸. During Chinese New Year or other Chinese holidays, cooking different kinds of desserts is necessary. When I cook sesame sweet soup and glutinous rice ball, or other kinds; I always plan and see whether I can create a mix and match new dessert too.
